Taking It All In

“Celebrate endings—for they precede new beginnings.”
Yes, a new year is upon us. And no, things will not magically change on January 1, 2021. However, what the new year will give us is a new beginning, with a renewed energy to conquer the next year with a sense of resurrection.
The new year allows me the opportunity to reflect on what transpired this year, and my goals for the year to come. Yes, I certainly have professional goals like continuing to learn about new, advanced technologies and giving patients even more options for treatment. Personally, I’d like to focus on what is good, and what I can do to continue to keep a healthy balance in my life.
I like to end the year by making a list of what I would like to accomplish in the new year. Some within reach, others that take a little more effort, and still yet others that are a little more far-fetched (dare we travel out of the country next year!).
This year’s celebrations certainly look a little different, but I have to admit, I am very much looking forward to the downtime and one-on-one QT with my family as we say goodbye to 2020. Ultimately, a new year motivates me and inspires me to welcome what’s to come and gets me excited for new beginnings.
I wish you and your families a peaceful goodbye to this year and a fresh perspective for the year to come.
