Find Your Happy

“Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony.” -Mahatma Gandhi
I have learned to eat the ice cream because it makes me happy. I have learned that true happiness is aligning what you want in life with purpose. If things bring you pleasure, do them. Once you realize you are aligned with your purpose, there is a natural energy that transpires between you and every person you come in contact with. It becomes contagious and creates a sense of excitement. The interaction with others leads to thoughts, ideas, and inspiration when you simply keep your mind open to endless possibilities.
August 26th is Women’s Equality Day, the day women were granted the right to vote which led to so many other freedoms. It makes me so grateful for the women who have paved our path to allow us to enjoy the independence we have every day. We are able to have a career and engage with all races, genders and mentors. It makes you realize that the powers you are granted today are enormous and to take advantage of all of the opportunities that come your way.
So, as we finish out the summer, let’s open our eyes to what’s in front of us and do those things that make us happy. When we are happy, there is promise in the air and that leads to a sense of empowerment. Every day is a new opportunity to find our life purpose. And, if that means eating the ice cream while we contemplate our future, then so be it.
