Working on Self-Improvement

“Become addicted to constant and never ending self-improvement.”

I have found that I always want to learn more – more about my industry, more about the people in my life, more about myself and how I can continue to grow. There is always room for self-improvement.

There are so many ways you can work toward self-improvement – and they can be very simple. One I recently heard of and love (and want to try myself!) – is creating a vision board where you create a visual representation of the best version of yourself. This can be a really creative task where you literally create a poster board or publication on your computer with all the things you hope for your future. It helps you to actually visualize your highest self and reflect your ideas as images to help you create a plan toward self-improvement.

I also think it’s important to set one personal and one professional goal. What are you looking to achieve? Setting measurable and timely goals will help them come to fruition.

It might also be helpful to invest in inspirational or self-help books. One I personally love is “You are a badass” by Jen Sincero. These types of books can help you re-ignite an internal energy and sense of inspiration to propel you to the next phase in your life.

And of course, you can learn a new activity, find a new hobby, or find a mentor that can offer you guidance.

I personally try to work on personal growth on a consistent basis.

This September we recognize “Self-Improvement Month” and encourage you to find ways to continue to grow into your best self.
